Went once and then again 3 weeks later and they remembered our order from the first time we went. Excellent service and friendly. Incredible food very fresh and great quality. Best fish and chips around! They also offer gluten free fish which not many places do.
Be prepared for a wait on “Fry day” night, and at quieter times, as your food is often cooked to order. There are cheaper days that can be a bargain. A wide range of chip shop favourites are available, including gluten free to order: note some items need to be ordered on entry to the shop, or phone ahead. Look at their website for opening times, it’s not a post pub venue for example. It is always clean: the 5 star award well deserved. Look at the posters while you wait: the owners have a long history of supporting junior football teams, this “plaice” is a great asset to the community.
